New to Invisalign
Hi everyone. Just got into tray 3, and had my attachments placed. My orthodontist ordered all my trays with precision cuts (elastic hooks) even tho he has no immediate plans to use them!? I also have 11 attachments. My question is, why would he order them this way? It makes my top tray very pokey an...

Re: Second opinion - my Orthodontist just fired me!
Thanks Candy! I am nervous and somewhat sad (what!!?) about tomorrow. These things have been my second skin for 7 months and I thought when they came off I'd be done! Not doing what I'm doing now! I'll be in a retainer for a few weeks which I'm afraid might be worse than being in braces! I have tons...

Re: Second opinion - my Orthodontist just fired me!
Hi everyone, thanks for your answers! I agree that the communication has gone awry between me and my original Ortho, and it happened quickly. In the end, she had sent my refund check immediately before even having a conversation with me about it, and it was really unexpected. I panicked and called t...

Second opinion - my Orthodontist just fired me!
 My orthodontist told me I was not the best Invisalign candidate so I got banded with Damon 3s last December + acceledent. There were plenty of roadblocks with my treatment these past 7 months and I thought my treatment was moving slower than anticipated but what do I know... Once elastic a wen...

Unwanted intrusion
Seven months into my Damon treatment. I am having significant intrusion of my second bicuspid on the top left. I am sure it happened gradually but it seems sudden. Where there was once an average sized tooth, now the exposed outer surface is only as large as my tiny Damon clear bracket, so it appear...

Here's another example where you can see the right lower incisor is extruded.

Vertical error? So frustrated.
I have been pretty convinced for months now that my Ortho tech placed my bracket on my right lower incisor too far gingival ky (vertical error) leading to extrusion of this tooth. It was quite obvious at my initial bracketing that this bracket was lower down than the others, but my teeth were perfec...

Re: Upper incisors now different lengths after wire change!
I also have a piggyback question: I also had my arch wires extended to my molars at my adjustment and I noticed the space between my first and second molars on the bottom left felt sore. When I look closely I see a larger blister below the bone and a series of smaller clusters of blisters actually o...

Upper incisors now different lengths after wire change!
Hi guys. I just had my first adjustment on Thursday on my Damon Clears and today I noticed that my right upper incisor looms about 2-3 mm shorter than the left! That was one clear good feature of my smile pre-braces and I am not happy about it. Is this one of those "looks worse before it looks ...

Re: Are your second molars banded or bracketed?
I'm in Damon Q's and had brackets placed on second molars from day 1 but now got the wire through to the back molar upper and lower at my first adjustment at 4 wks. Is that odd?

Re: Are my teeth "bad enough" for braces? Chickening out, he
You're all amazing, (a belated) thanks so much! Your positive comments and encouragement have really made the difference for me in this process. I had my first adjustment today and it wasn't too bad. The wires are thicker with stoppers on them. Now I'm just a little sore. The tech almost didn't give...

Plaque attack! Help!
Hi everyone, 1.5 weeks in with Damon clears on top and metal on bottom. I thought I was doing a pretty good job with my dental hygiene, brushing after most meals... But sometimes not (while at work, out to eat, etc). Using water pik about once per day, flossing once per day. Using sonicare at home. ...

Re: Are my teeth "bad enough" for braces? Chickening out, he
The Ortho did check them. I called the office today and spoke with the receptionist who told me that things often look better before they're worse yadda yadda. She doesn't think I need to come in before my appointment in 3 wks for adjustment and feels like she would've noticed it if it were a mistak...
