Hey Everyone! After 2.5 years I am getting my braces off March 20th! Last week they took the wire off my molars so they could settle, but now my molars are sore when I chew/bite down. Normal?

Have any of you had this happen? I have not had any rubber bands or anything like that to help close it.

Hi everyone! I am worried that my top teeth will look funny once I get my braces off. I'm specifically worried that my canines are 'too high' in my smile, and that my midline is off. I have 2 months left (so my chart says). Thoughts?

Yeah it's pretty much always been that way, but got worse with braces

So I'm not quite sure how to describe it but one of my teeth that is not engaged in the wire yet on the bottom is half covered by my gum. Will this gum move out of the way once the tooth comes forward, or will it need to be cut? I will add a picture so you can see. Has anyone experienced this?

I have the ceramic ones and I am a BIG coffee drinker as well. I just drink mine with a straw and it isn't really an issue. Yeah, the ligatures are what stains. I know I have a long way to go until I need to start thinking about retainers, but I was wondering what everyone's thoughts and/or experiences were on getting permanent retainers.

My ortho does either those or the essix clear retainers.

I was the same way at first. I've had mine for 6 weeks now and I have come to the realization that I won't break a bracket from brushing haha.

I had to get 2 teeth pulled on top for my braces, and it was PAINLESS. A lot of pressure, and weird feeling, but no pain. My Dr also numbed pretty well haha but still. & I am a BABY when it comes to dental procedures. You will be fine!!
