Hello!
I too got a Nance appliance fitted on yesterday and braces about one week back. Fortunately, i did not need to get any teeth extracted. Anyways, I found the braces easier to handle than the nance, hoping the same for you.
I am still lisping like crazy. Hang in there

Hi
I have also also just started with braces. Though I have the normal kind, many of my friends have the lingual ones. Your speech will surely get better with time.
Good luck

Re: Molar builups...how long?
Today evening, one of my build ups came off. They are the blue glue kind. Has this happened to any of you?
My teeth don't hit the braces because of the other build up.I called my dentist and he told me to wait until my next appointment which is in a week's time.

[quote="auco99"]I didn't get mine off until my braces came off, but by that time they had worn down to almost nothing. Your bite will change, they will wear down, and you won't notice them after a while, and I PROMISE you they are MUCH better than the alternative of bite plates. After 3 da...

Re: Molar builups...how long?
[quote="arcimboldo"]Hi Sally, I got molar buildups too with my braces about 2 months ago. It is indeed the most annoying part of the whole story but it's getting better from day to day. My dentist told me that he will reduce the buildups step by step depending of the progress of my teeth's...

I too found spacers incredibly painful. Fortunately, I had to wear them only for 3 days.
Drinking ice water and swirling crushed ice in the mouth helped me a lot.

Molar builups...how long?
Hello everyone :) I have had braces for one week now and still find it extremely difficult to chew anything. This is mainly due to the molar buildups my doctor put in to avoid my top teeth hitting the bottom braces. They are very annoying and I am taking ages to complete a meal. To others who have h...
