She is so blessed. I'm 12 and my family probably hates my braces more that I do because I complain so much! i wish my mom was as nice as you because my mom was like, "Girl! You're just looking for excuses to cry! I never cried when I got braces!"

I just got home. I'm a little sore, and I'm sure I will be very sore in about 45 min(give or take a few)... My next tightening is august 28...by then school will have started...ugh!

I get my braces tightened for the first time today and I'm really nervous! My friends are telling me that the first tightening thing is the worst, and that I should "brace" myself. (my friends are very nerdy) Any advice? Is it like this for everyone, or just them?
