Re: Extremely sensitive teeth?

[quote="HeyKay1991"]Hi guys, I've been in braces since May and ever since I've had them, I've noticed my two front teeth are extremely very sensitive. I'm sure everyone has had incidents where they've accidentally knocked a tooth while brushing, flossing or whatever. My teeth get very sore...

Re: Is it normal to use power chain on few teeth only ?

totally normal.i had a power chain of just three rings for a couple months to help de-rotate one of my canines. as far as I'm aware you don't get full power chains until near the end of treatment to help finish putting all the teeth in place nice and tight together. i recently came to terms with the...

Re: 23 & FINALLY braced! I've only waited 13+ years...

I am 26 and about to get them for the first time. I have a similar story...my parents couldn't afford it when I was growing up. I'm taking the plunge not only to gain some confidence with a straight smile, but also to improve my long-term dental health. I am glad you are now receiving the support y...

Re: elastic bands until snap?

I'm under instruction to change mine three times a day (like after breakfast lunch and dinner) and take them out for snacks and put them back in after. your supposed to change them like that because after wearing them for so long the elastic loses its strength from your saliva and donesnt work as we...

Re: Impacted canine - gold chain dangling down!

Update! Went to the orthodontist and he attached the chain to my tooth with a kind of brace glue. Next morning it had fallen down again -___- Rang them up again and they said I can come in this afternoon to remove the chain. But now I'm just worried that they're not going to be able to pull the too...

Re: question about elastics...

I've been in elastics for over 18 months and they do cause discomfort if worn as instructed, at least in my case. I would not call it pain, but it is there. If I am not uncomfortable then I must not be doing it correctly. The great irony of orthodontics. thanks for the reply dan! I'm glad its all r...
