Re: 23 y.o. university teacher with braces

I've been quite neglectful of my teeth for the last month or so as unfortunately my sister passed away and my teeth were the last thing I was thinking about. I ate and drank all the wrong things. My ortho said that I have good brushing technique so it didn't make a difference at least. I had the thi...

Re: 23 y.o. university teacher with braces

Well the pain wasn't as bad as I thought, it only lasted a couple of days. I'm having different issues now. My ortho decided to speed things on a bit and put brackets on the inside of my teeth and stuck elastics there and on the outside. I now have three large blisters on my tongue (the dental wax i...

Re: 23 y.o. university teacher with braces

I'm having my brace altered next Friday and I'm slightly nervous about it. The pain lasted a long time when I had the brace fitted and I hope that it disappears quicker next time. It made it quite difficult teaching! My teeth are fitting together a lot better now as well, but I've noticed that I rea...

Re: Headaches

Ah ok! It's good to know that it's not just me. The headaches have subsided a little now the pain has reduced with my teeth but every now and then there's a day where they are pretty sensitive and I get a headache again. Hopefully that will improve with time!

Re: 23 y.o. university teacher with braces

Thanks guys, I'm really chuffed with the movement. If my teeth were as straight as they are now I probably wouldn't have even got a brace but I still have a considerable overjet. I'm so so happy with the decision to get this done.

Headaches

I can't believe I'm already a month in and how much progress has happened but...Did anyone else get some serious headaches? It usually starts about midday for me and then as soon as I get home from work I have to sleep. Then I can't sleep at night but at least the headache has gone. It's driving me ...

Re: 23 y.o. university teacher with braces

I'm having pain issues with my brace again. It was really bad in the start and it seems to be starting again without even needing the tightening. I just really can't believe the difference already. It's only been a month! http://i1058.photobucket.com/albums/t405/Rebachi/20141217_124813-1-1_resized_3...

Re: 23 y.o. university teacher with braces

I've had someone say that they've definitely noticed a difference in my teeth and mouth shape already. I can't believe how much movement has happened in the last 3 weeks and to be honest, my teeth are still pretty tender though the horrible pain at the start has gone. After a week I began to feel th...

Re: 23 y.o. university teacher with braces

I am already seeing results! I wasn't sure how fast I would notice but I SWEAR I see some movement happening. I certainly feel it anyway. And thanks so much to you both, I have been told that people can't even see them when I talk as well. My speech hasn't altered much at all either although I think...

Re: 23 y.o. university teacher with braces

The braces are on! The top arch anyway (for 6 months before the bottom on is put on too). My ortho opted to use radiance brackets and when I get the lower arch on, it will be metal. I'm actually really surprised at how good they look. I was worried that it would be really noticeable but it's really ...

Re: Extraction of 2 premolars, clot fell out!

I seemed to have got food stuck in there. I'm taking a trip to the pharmacy to get some more painkillers and I'm going to get some corsodyl daily and a syringe too. Hopefully I can keep it clean before Monday. What a nightmare!

Re: Extraction of 2 premolars, clot fell out!

Thanks so much! That's really helped. I'm going to ring my dentist first thing Monday and get it sorted out but in the mean time keep on top of my painkillers :)

Re: Extraction of 2 premolars, clot fell out!

I really can't until Monday because of it being Saturday. Barely anywhere is open tomorrow but if it's a big problem I'll see if I can get an emergency appointment at the dental hospital.

Extraction of 2 premolars, clot fell out!

I'm really worried. I had a premolar extracted on both sides of my upper arch yesterday and my blood clot fell out of my right side today. The left is still intact. Obviously being a weekend, my dentist isn't open until Monday and I'm really worried about getting dry socket. Is it a definite thing t...

Wowee, I definitely didn't write that haha. It obviously doesn't like me writing that. It's not Waterpik, let's put it that way.
