I'm baaack! (recommendations near Seattle?)

Years ago I posted about my consult with Dr. Arnett down here in Santa Barbara. He concluded that I'm an excellent candidate for double jaw surgery, due to my overbite / airway / unstable bite issues. Well, you can't have kids for a year before and a year after the surgery, so I had to put it off du...

Whoops - looks like I can't use the PM feature on the board yet. Too new, I guess? My twitter is @15handstough if you want to DM me there.

Re: Crown lengthening - couldn't be happier!

Thank you for the post! I have the same problem - my teeth are pretty worn down due to acid reflux, but I have to get the jaw surgery done first because my dentist doesn't want me to spend all that money and have the bite be wrong.

Hopefully I'll be to that point 2 years from now...

Yep. I'm going to Dr. Arnett in Santa Barbara, and he is out of network for everyone. I have Aetna, and it looks like they are only going to cover about $20k of the $60k it is going to cost! Boo.

The Team has been selected - I'm going to do it - yikes!

Hi there, gang! I've only posted a few times, but I've decided to go through with getting this bite / airway fixed. I've got a Class II with open bite, and recently consulted with Dr. Arnett in Santa Barbara. Looks like we need about 11mm of movement, and we'll be doing the upper / lower jaws. Lucky...

Re: Just Consulted with Dr. Arnett - questions

Oh, I don't think there is any doubt they both need to be moved. I've known that since I was a kid. But yes, since I'm so close to Dr. Relle I probably will. It's just another check and another day off of work. Not that big of a deal in the long run.

Just Consulted with Dr. Arnett - questions

For my first post - a report on my first consult! I've been referred to Dr. Arnett by 2 dentists and an ortho - my ortho when I was in High School, the first dentist while still in High School, and my new dentist down here in southern California. So I finally went to at least talk to him! Big long 3...
