Re: Jaw sagging

Hard to explain....unless teeth were extracted unnecessarily. Let me think about this one. The two may be unrelated.

Re: midlines after surgery.

Mine has never been the same post-op....shifted to the left ( believed), but it doesn't bother me, and no one's noticed. I was bothered at first though...

Re: Best Type of Hawley Retainer

I have a wraparound...certainly is good if you want your teeth to be able to touch completely while it's in your mouth. Problem is, mine have these wires that interfere with my bite, unlike most wraparounds are supposed to have.

Re: Hawley/Essix cleaning

I would honestly say Hawley, but that may just be cause my Essix broke after about 6 months. I was cleaning it at the time, I think.

Re: Shortening "long face" - what are the options?

Honestly, we'd have to see a picture of your mid/lower face to comment, I think. You actually sound fine to me, from your description. It's time to worry when your MID face is long and you have a gummy smile. But I'd still have to see a photo. I think you're fine as is to be honest, at least aesthet...

wow, I wish I could get TADs. My open bite is minor, but I wish I could find someone who could close it this way.

Re: Do wearing retainers cause tonsil stones?

Even if your diet hasn't changed, I'd be curious to know if you consume any dairy products? Eggs/dairy cause this problem for me, so I generally avoid both. There is absolutely *no* reason a retainer should cause such a problem.
