Re: Surgery without hospital stay?

This is just a personal opinion and experience -- When I had my surgery, you could leave the day of, if things went well - but you paid to stay over night regardless; meaning of course, that it did not cost any more to stay over night. Re: Jaw Surgery For Cosmetic Reasons?

Not to argue, but from what I can see you have a very cute face. However, you are the one who has to be happy with it, so I won't say any more!

Re: Anyone with nocturnal bruxism who had double jaw surgery

I talked with my surgeon about it prior to surgery, and he assured me that my joint would be so weak, that I wouldn't even have the chance to clench or grind. Sometimes having an incorrect bite can be the c...

I'm not sure exactly; I am secretly hoping for a time around January - but I doubt it will be before then.

90 Days Post-Surgery [update]

Hi everyone! I was addicted to this forum prior to my surgery, and honestly, it helped me tremendously! So now that I am on the other side (of the surgery, at least.... the braces are still on), I thought I would give a brief update! I am breathing so much better! I like my smile so much more. I hav...

Re: How Long Off Work?

I work with preschoolers, which can be very taxing... if your job does not involve a lot of physical activit...

Re: July Surgery Group??

Very cool Colbrit! It sounds like my experience was similar to yours! It's been about 4 days since my surgery now... The swelling has reduced a bit, but the bruising is awful. I can feel my lower lip quite well, but have minimal sensation from my upper lip to my eyeballs!!! The hardest part for me a...

Re: July Surgery Group??

I know exactly what you guys think! I went to my surgeon's yesterday for our final meeting before surgery; gave them what felt like my life savings...it is getting so real! I was joking around yesterday with my surgeon and his staff, and I almost felt like I was in on their special club, hah! I must...

Re: July Surgery Group??

Wow, there's a couple of us getting done this month! That is fun at least! I got my surgery hooks wired up yesterday afternoon. It's not ideal, having even more junk in my mouth. It's hard enough to close my mouth as it is! :biglaf: But, the idea that these hooks will be the least of my t...

Re: July Surgery Group??

I need to go get some baby wipes for my face... liquid vitamins and OTC pain medication.... but otherwise I t...
