Separators/spacers

Is it normal to get spacers/separators before invisalign? I have a second round (after 31 trays) starting on 7/10, and the ortho called me the other day asking me to come in on 7/9 (day before) to get spacers. I can't remember if I did this for my first set of trays, but figured I would ask on here....

Re: Invisalign attachments? Overall experience?

I also reviewed my clincheck with my orthodontist before he submitted the order. I saw everything, including all movement, and any time that I would have IPR (shaving between teeth to make space).

Re: Invisalign attachments? Overall experience?

I have had invisalign since March, and have 12 attachments. None on my front teeth, but I can agree with one of the earlier replies... they are very discreet. No one has ever noticed (or said anything about) my attachments.

Re: Finally taking the plunge at 34

33 and have gone for the initial consult and records. Still trying to decide whether to go with ceramic or invisalign. But... the journey (one way or the other) will begin real soon.

Re: Dissatisfied

Did you express your concern with the final outcome? Or just a week or so before?

I feel like I would ask 100 questions if I wasn't satisfied with the results. I'm sure you spent a lot of money and time on your smile.

Re: New to site and to Orthodontics

Thank you arciedee! This is extremely helpful. My ortho does the digital scans as well.

Decisions, decisions.

Re: New to site and to Orthodontics

Thanks for this info Jem. Being a 33 year old male... I'm a bit apprehensive about the ceramic braces, but I feel like they would be a better fit for me personally.

I will definitely keep you (and all others) posted on the final decision which will likely be coming up within the next month.

Re: How painful can invisalign get?

Good question... I'm curious to see some of the responses.

I went for a consult, and haven't made a decision as to whether I want ceramic braces, or go with invisalign.

Re: New to site and to Orthodontics

I feel like my ortho will likely continue to push the invisalign. I don't want to question his judgment because he is the professional (and from what I have been told, one of the best in the area), but I am concerned about getting comfortable with the option of taking out invisalign for meetings or ...

New to site and to Orthodontics

Hello everyone-- I recently decided to take the plunge into orthodontics, and figured I would start out on here with a question that I have been pondering since my initial ortho consult. My orthodontist is an invisalign elite provider, and as expected during the consult, he indicated that I was a gr...
