Smoke if you want to. I'm serious. Your an adult and are allowed to make your own decisons. Yeah, I quit a little while ago, but it's because I wanted to. And, with my track record, I'm sure I'll pick them back up. If I wanna smoke, I'm gonna smoke. Period. (I only smoked 4-6/day anyway.) Now. Back ...

My wisdom teeth removal was a horror story. (But not typical from what I can tell.) I got edema in my left check from the "trauma" that was caused. He had a really hard time getting all four of them out. My top ones had not surfaced and the roots had hooked around behind my other teeth. My...

Sympathies. I have some "tiredness" (aka- soreness/aching/pain) in my jaw a lot of the time. I have been telling myself it is because I can't close my mouth right due to the moving canine not allowing my jaw to fall into it's proper place, but instead slightly to the left. It pops from tim...

Teeth Move Through Bone Remodeling Bone remodeling works like this: increase the load on a bone and osteoclasts are created which break it down in response to the load. Remove the load and osteoblasts are created which create new bony cells. Repeat the process through repetitive motion and eventual...

Update. Love him to death, but I seriously doubt this happens. His tooth broke a few weeks ago (either back molar or wisdom - not sure) and he didn't tell me until a few days ago when I caught him rinsing w/ saltwater. He was afraid I'd make him go to the dentist! It's a jagged piece of tooth sticki...

I always buy everyone a round of toothbrushes for the stockings at Christmas. We get fun ones then, like ScoobyDoo, SpongeBob, & Care Bears for the kids (teenagers actually). I got a new manual toothbrush too, first time I've used one since being braced - bought my Oral-B day before I was braced...

My natural smile is usually with my mouth closed, but I don't do it on purpose. I have noticed that when I smile that it hurts to slide my lips into the grin b/c of the braces. My braces don't even really show very much when I do the toothy grin anyway.

:D I worry more about my hair than my teeth!

Maybe they'll stick a bracket down there just for that.

But man, wouldn't that be annoying?! Just one! Ugg. That would stick out way worse than a sore thumb!

Maybe some powerchain rig up. My ortho seems to be good at the "rigging something up" as he has already done it twice.

Correct Midline - top braces only

I've seen a lot of posts on here about midlines, and most of them talk about elastics.

Can elastics be used if you only have top braces?

If not, how will he correct my midline? - which is now off due to a spacer spring

I have one pushing my teeth apart to make room for a canine that came in behind a baby tooth that didn't come out. It is annoying at first, but it is a lot better now. I've had it about 3 months. It definatly will catch you lip and tounge. Don't try to clean it with your tounge, ouch. Just shove a f...

I am extremely sarcastic and sometimes mean to the people I like the most. My friends know this and take my (mean-ness) jokes as fun. They know I am being playful. That is how I interact. I also know who can and can't take my jokes. If I don't know you very well, I don't do that. Maybe your boyfrien...
