I only told my wife, son and a few members of her family. When my parents came to visit 9 months after I got them they were shocked!

I got a Hawley and when I first got it I wanted my braces put back on because of how bad it made me talk. Braces never affected my speech but my retainer sure did. Once I only had to wear it at night it wasn't an issue any more.

I had them and they kept coming off. Eventually I got to where only one would stay on and that seemed easier than having two. Originally my ortho told me I'd have bite turbos behind my front teeth which seem a lot worse than buildups.
