Second adjustment was a few days ago.

4,800 which includes retainer and whatever special services they want to add on. Regular ol' metal braces with a sentence of 24 months.

The first adjustment. I got a tap wire on the roof of my mouth. I got brackets on my teeth in the very back but one of the brackets came out when I took a nap. I'll call in tomorrow and see if they can fix it or I'm cutting the wire out.

They are cutting up my gums and its difficult to eat anything that isn't really soft. Dental wax has become my best friend it's hard to talk because my lips get caught in the brackets. :pinkbraces: Well thanks for being honest :shock: sigh... I guess I will find out ALL about it in just 2 days.... ...

I feel sinuses from drinking, breathing or smiling too wide. The inside of my moth feels like its filled with puddly because I'd all the wax I have to put on these damn brackets. Needless to say I'm cranky.

It looks like it healed quickly and the teeth moved quickly.

Any advice on how to ease the pain of the brackets cutting the inside of your mouth? The wax kinda helps but I would like to build sort of a tough skin so I won't depend on the wax.

Welcome to the club. I recently got braced with metal brackets and I'm going to a drag show tonight. Hopefully I won't become part of the act.

Lol @dan. The idea that looking like a child as being sexy creeps me out.

Now I'm scared I just got my braces put in after getting 4 teeth removed and spacers. I never liked my side profile and was hoping it will improve with treatment. Good luck everyone who didn't have a positive brace experience. Hopefully everything will work out for you guys

Can't wait to start seeing my canines come down and my bottom row straighten for the hidden tooth.
