They aren't uncomfortable at all, I never noticed them. They're taken off after your orthodontist decides you can stop wearing rubber bands, which is usually 4-6 weeks depending on the surgery.

Do you have insurance that would pay for the surgery? If so, do it ASAP. The surgery changes optimizes your appearance, which in turn gives you a huge confidence boost, which in turn enhances your personality! There is NO reason to do it if the cost is covered. If your insurance pays for the surgery, do it. ASAP. Your increased attractiveness will give you a big confidence boost that makes your personality shine more than it does now (at least, this is my experience). It's really a fantastic thing.

BOOST PLUS! It's easily the most substantial thing I've been eating (drinking?) since my surgery 10 days ago. 360 calories for 8 mL is a lot.
