Re: Dude Braces @ 25 --- MapleLeafMan888 My Story
Greetings MLM! Good to hear from you... I am still following your thread from several years ago! I too am very happy to have made the journey. The only thing I regret is waiting sooo long. I wear my retainers every night, still on the original set. They are not nearly as clear now as when I got the...

Re: Bruxism & what type of arch wire withstands the least breakage?
I think the response by assertives is excellent, and worthy of your serious consideration. No job is worth it, especially since your previous outlets (e.g., exercise) are not available. I thought archwires were practically indestructible so the fact that you are breaking them suggests tremendous, a...

Re: Dude Braces @ 25 --- MapleLeafMan888 My Story
Thought I'd check in, this site crossed my mind today. I'm nearly at 5 years post braces. Wow time does go by so fast. So funny to read the logs again. I've grown up alot, am pushing up to 32 years old now soon lol. Still am happy and thankful to have gone through this experience too. My ori...

Re: 29 - Braces Journey (terrified)
Very nice progress! The upper arch really rounded out on the last photo you showed!
I go for my final post braces ortho check up on June 26, I think my teeth stayed very well in place after braces.
Best of luck with the rest of your braces journey, congrats on going for it!

Re: Essix and drooling
Hey! So I've been wearing upper and lower essix retainers for 21 months and the experience you're describing still happens to me occasionally, but not too often ( only using essix at night now though). It's annoying yes, but I guess the saliva just runs over the plastic like a slide... :o On a diffe...

Re: Anyone else here is completelly paranoid with cavities?
If you brush regularly there should not be a problem. And for sure regularly rise with water and mouthwash. I had perfect teeth ( cavity wise ) until I had to wear the essix/clear retainers after braces for 24/7 for 8 months and now for life at night. I'm finding that a few teeth are developing smal...

Re: Dude Braces @ 25 --- MapleLeafMan888 My Story
Hey so I wanted to make a post seeing as how today is exactly one year since having my braces removed! My teeth have stayed real straight as I am doing the night time retainer wear and will be for life. The bonded retainers and hanging in there as well, really don't notice them anymore. I had a trip...

Re: Permanent top retainer?
I have permanent retainers on the upper and lower, also wear clear removable retainers on the upper and lower at night only now. If the ortho places them in the right spot they shouldn't touch and should be fine. There's really no reason to not get upper fixed retainers, flossing takes maybe a coupl...
