Re: Bottom front teeth tipping forward?

I have no under/overbite at all anymore. My front teeth line up perfectly and clank at their tips. I wish I hadn't ever done this. I cannot imagine this is going to be resolved in 3 months, and if I had known how long it would take, I would have just done invisalign. I did elastics but they started ...

Bottom front teeth tipping forward?

I think I might have seen a post about this before, but I am very concerned. I am 5.5 months into a 6-9 month brace sentence. My bottom teeth look great and are very straight, but they tip so far forward I think they are going to fall out of my mouth at any given time. Now, because of this, my top t...

Re: Treatment longer than predicted?

Looks like almost everyone went over their estimate. Maybe they should be more conservative when quoting. I got mine on 6-3-2012 so this week marks 4 months, and I still think there is work to do. I highly doubt, I'll be out in 6, and I wish I had opted for invisalign.

Ouch - First brace injury

My toddler was upset that I opened the door to his toy police car. He expressed his outrage by hurling said police car at my face. My braces caught my lip. Re: Ladies: Do you wear lipstick?

I have more natural colored glosses that I wear, but I wear it every day. I love my big pouty brace lips :)

Re: Here we go - Braces at 37!

Adjustment pics - I'll go back in 5 more weeks. I after the IPR I have noticed a gap forming near one of my canines, so I am hoping that will close. They say it gets worse before it gets better right? He said we still look to be on track though. My bottom teeth really seem to be tipping forward with...

Re: Rectangular wires?

Still in pain, but not as bad as when I first had them put on 8 weeks ago. However, these have worked fast. One of the gaps left by the IPR is already closed and the other one is close. Dang. If it continues to work this quickly, I am all for rectangular wires. When I see people write finishing wire...

Rectangular wires?

Is this a good thing? I had my first adjustment today and we switched both my top and bottom arch wires to rectangles. I am 8 weeks in today, and my next adjustment is 6 weeks out. He said my pain shouldn't be as bad with these? I call shenanigans on that, but would love y'alls input.

Thanks

Re: Here we go - Braces at 37!

Okay, I had IPR done on two of my bottom teeth, and he said next time we might need to do two more. I got rectangular wires on both top and bottom. What does that mean?

No spacers here either, but also no molar bands.

Re: Here we go - Braces at 37!

Thanks Jem. He said my lowers would probably need IPR, but it does sound scary. I'm anxious enough about the soreness coming back after my adjustment.

ETA- It scares me that your estimated treatment time was 6-9 months, but took double that. Mine is estimated 6-9 too.

Re: Here we go - Braces at 37!

Today is my first adjustment. I am anxious to see how I am progressing, and what's next. He mentioned I might need IVR or something like that. Is that normal? Has anyone else here done it? Appt is at 2:00, I'll update then.
