I had to wear them for 3 months since day 1. It took me about a month to grind them down and get used to. Just keep chewing with them I guess. Yeah it was horrible at first, but it gets better.

I had the same thin upper lip problem like you. Ever since I got braces two months ago, my lips are even now and it seriously looks like I've had lip injections done! I love my fuller lips too

I was also a victim of the stupid Crest Pro Health mouthwash (ugh!). It totally stained my bottom teeth. I dumped that immediately, then also used ACT. Didn't realize that stuff also has CPC. Amazing progress! Seeing this makes me so happy as I also have diastema. I'm only on month 2, I feel like my progress is pretty slow, but my gap is closing. I guess I just have to be patient!

For me, it was within four days of getting my braces put on I noticed my front gap were starting to close.

Yea I don't know why either. Maybe for comfort? I do notice now that there's no rubber around that bracket, the metal tie wire and bracket is rubbing against my inner upper lip and it's kind of rough.

I called the ortho office, and they said I should be fine until next week.
