That means it's working! In my experience the contact pain like you are describing has never lasted longer than maybe 10 days.

I had my 4 premolars extracted and all looks normal to me. I wore braces for a year before they were extracted. My Ortho thought there would be a chance we could avoid it, but couldn't. I'm glad we did it, because my once my bottom teeth were all aligned (before extractions) they looked way too far ...

Just a quick update.

GAP1 (day1): 7mm
GAP1 (month 1): 6mm

GAP2 (day1): 7mm
GAP2 (month 1): 6mm

I've been officially back to by "normal" diet for about a week now. Still a pain in the butt though with the food getting stuck back in the wisdom teeth areas.

I pretty much chalk up all my tooth pain to braces. It usually goes away in 3-7 days.

Oh I'm not tracking daily. Going to measure once a month.

And things are so far so good. Just started getting back into my normal "pre-extractions" diet.

Here are a couple pics. One of the gaps from above and one that shows what the closing loop looks like.

I'll use this thread to keep track of the progress. I'll post some pics soon.

Here are the current measurements. I'll just be doing my bottom gaps as those are the only ones with the loops right now, and they are way easier to measure

What was the time difference between those two photos? Lately this seems to happen after my most recent adjustments. One tooth either becomes really really sensitive to cold, or super sensitive to touch/pressure. The past 2 have gone away after a week or so. Waiting for my current one to get better :)

I think I have the same mindset as you on this one. I think I can last one more week on a soft diet

I didn't have all 8 teeth pulled at one time, but my advice for you is to take it very slowly when introducing solid foods back into your diet. If it hurts, don't eat it.
