@Sable: Your canine has exposed itself at 7 months already? It's been a year since they attached a gold bracket to mine to draw it down from the gum and it still hasn't exposed itself yet...

Re: stupid question but...
My jaw and gums were killing me after my elastics, but no, my neck never hurt. Maybe you should talk to your ortho about that if it continues to be an issue

Re: Anyone had a wisdom tooth removed while braced?
I'd put it off for a week if I were you. If you know you're going to be busy, it's better to wait. You want to spend the weekend or few days after the surgery resting. You'll be in pain and there will be swelling in the back of your jaw for a couple of days.

Re: Eating with my front teeth......Stupid question but....
I eat with my front teeth as normal, save for biting meat off the bone or anything like that. Re: Why is the arch wire changed?
Yeah I've changed wires a few times on top. Once I had a rectangular one with a divot between my two front teeth. I think they were using it to draw my cuspid down while keeping front teeth where they were. Now I've been on the same wire since about November. It's cinched up towards the back so it w...

Re: 35 Years Old - Impacted K9's
You may have to get extractions if your canines don't have room to come down. Discuss this with your orthodontist when you start looking around. This will be an extra cost of around $1k if you have insurance, and I don't know the pricing if you don't.

Re: Time to find a new orthodontist? Braces for a year (pics
I don't know, I think an experienced orthodontist should be able to quickly get you on your way, but at the same time explain what's happening. I always ask what they're doing and what it's going to do for me treatment wise when I go in. That way, I know what's getting fixed and it gives me an appro...

Re: Every how often do you tighten your braces?
For a while I was going every 3 weeks, but now it ranges from 3-5 weeks. I think this time it's about 5 weeks between adjustments. I've had elastics for 8 weeks so far.
