Six Months Smiles - They're off!
I was debraced on Friday after 7 months and a week in my 6MS braces. I'm so pleased with the result I've had in 7 months! I still have some gum that needs removing about my lateral incisor but this will wait until next year now. I've also just landed my dream job as a professional vocalist so, for t...

Re: Peppy's 6 Month Smiles story
My new de-brace date is 20th September (was 4th September), thanks to a clash with an audition and my gap in my lowers not being completely closed. A bit diappointed but I'd rather they be as good as they can be! I've been to have the bands changed this morning so they are as pretty as they can be f...

Re: Peppy's 6 Month Smiles story
Welcome! You'll find it frustrating to begin with because you will keep looking at your teeth and willing them to move! I didn't see REAL movement until the 2-3 month mark... so be patient! Mine moved really fast after 3 months! I have a big audition on the same day as my de-brace, so I may have to ...

Re: Anyone have a permanent upper retainer? Opinions?
My ortho is only giving me permanent retainers. I wanted Essix ones for the night too, but he told me that it won't make any difference. In fact, the repeated effort of taking them out and putting them back in might dislodge the bonded retainer. I'm so confused. I'm desperate for my teeth to not rel...

Re: Peppy's 6 Month Smiles story
De-bracing is booked in for 4th September! 3 weeks from today! :D I had a powerchain put on this morning to close a gap in my lowers, which is the final tweak. I've opted to have a fixed retainer rather than a removeable one. I did say I wanted both but was told that it would make no difference eith...

Welcome to the 6MS club. Yes, you can get orthodontic attachments for Oral B electric toothbrushes. I couldn't live without mine!Jenash24 wrote:Quick question, will I be able to use my electric toothbrush with the braces on???

Wow! Look at your lovely teeth! Amazing results!
How long did the debrace take? Did you have contouring?

Re: Peppy's 6 Month Smiles story
Here are the long overdue pictures from my July adjustment. Day 1 and month 5 shown here! In the last 3 weeks I've had some movement of the front two teeth and the mid line is now straightened out. Hopefully you'll see this in the next set of pictures. My next adjustment is next Wednesday and I'm ho...

Re: Hello everyone! I got my Six Month Smiles!
Yay! They look so good! How are you finding the retainer?
I have 1 stubborn tooth on my lowers that won't move into line and I reckon it will end up having to stay that way. Other than that, I'm really happy. Gunning for an early September debracing!

Re: 6 month smiles questions (price and locations??)
Hi. I'm paying £2500 for mine in the Midlands, UK. I've seen quotes from £2000 through to £3000. I've gone wwith a good practice, so I was willing to pay what I've paid :-) I have uppers and lowers. You might think you don't need lowers (as I did) but you actually often need both. It is worth it :-)

Re: Peppy's 6 Month Smiles story
Hi Paula! I'm really pleased with the progress! To be honest, the staining for me has improved as I've learned what I can and can't eat. They were really yellow today when I had my bands changed because I ate some golden veg rice at the weekend (which I think has tumeric in it). Before that, they we...

Re: Peppy's 6 Month Smiles story
As promised! The top photo was taken in week 1 and the bottom at 4 months and 1 week into treatment. I have some slight things I want to improve - I still think my two front teeth are shifted to one side slightly and want to bring them back to dead centre... and I will have the gum removed from abov...

Re: Peppy's 6 Month Smiles story
I promise to upload a photo tonight! My home internet has been unreliable, to say the least. I think they probably COULD come off now. I'd be happy but not 100%. So, I'd rather keep them on until September to try and get those few minor tweaks I mentioned in my earlier post fixed. I have noticed, th...

Re: Hello everyone! I got my Six Month Smiles!
They are looking great. The teeth get filed and shaped at the end, so I wouldn't worry about that. I have one tooth on my bottoms that was always set back a little so it wasn't as worn down as the others. Now it's in line, it's sticks up higher! Tsk! I would talk to your dentist about the little cha...
