I did. I was dating a girl before I got braces, then continued to date her after that. When we broke up, I dated some after that. And that was with me being self-conscious about the braces.

I'll have 1 day as a 40 year old without braces. I got them at age 39, had them on when I turned 40, and one day before I turn 41, I am scheduled to have them taken off (knock on wood, don't want to jinx it).

month 17 for me. started with triangles. then on my next visit, he switched me to squares. and the last 2 visits have been zig-zag: easily the worst. pain in the butt to get them in (at least at first) and hard to talk.

all the way back. i can definitely feel the rubberbands working on those molars.
