Re: How painful can invisalign get?

Hi Yoshi! I am currently on 5th out of 13th aligner. I had regular braces years ago as a teen and I have to say the pain is very minimal compared to regular braces. With invisalign the most I experience is a tight pressure when I change trays but it is not even bad at all. Invisalign does get frustr...

Re: Starting Invisalign Again?

Hi arciedee!

I just put my second tray on today. It sure does feel tight. Did you end up getting your attachments on last week? How long is your treatment going to be?

Good luck with your treatment Invisalign buddy :)

Re: Anyone using permanent retainer(in the back)? / sore tee

No problem :)
It did not feel tight or uncomfortable. I got used to it fairly quickly. To me it only felt weird for a day since there is something glued to the back of your teeth, but other then that there was no sensation.

Re: Anyone using permanent retainer(in the back)? / sore tee

Hi Cadet, When I got my braces off back when I was a teenager I had a hawley retainer for my upper. My lower only had a permanent retainer for the six teeth. My teeth were straight for years until my permanent retainer broke and I never went back to get it fixed. On the other hand my brother has had...

Starting Invisalign Again?

Hello all! I had put a post last August when I initially got my invisalign on. Due to some health problems I was unable to do Invisalign then and had to stop treatment the day after getting them. I went in for my Dental cleaning today and my Dentist asked me if I was doing better. I have been doing ...

Re: HELP! Just finished... not wearing night-time retainer?

Hi AOEE! When I got my braces off when I was a teenager I had a Hawley retainer for my upper and a bonded retainer on my lower. My lower teeth never shifted with only the support of the bonded retainer until my permanent retainer popped off one day. My brother has had his permanent retainer for over...

Re: Just 5 months?

Hi Msw! I currently have invisalign and mine is also a relapse case. I have 13 sets of trays for both upper and lower. Which will take me about 6.5 months. You have 5 aligners for your bottom and that equals out to 5 months? How often do you have to change your aligners for clear correct is it also ...

Re: How many aligners would have been too many for you

I have 13 trays for both upper and lower. I would say around 25 trays would have been too many because I have slight crowding and have already had braces for 3 1/2 years when I was younger and my dentist said if I were to get regular braces that I would only need them for 6-12 months.

Re: Super sensitive teeth after filling, pre-braces

I had 6 fillings done last year and they were very sensitive for about a month. I was concerned and called my dentist and they told me to give it some time, because the deeper the cavity the more sensitive it will be after the filling is done, but a month after they got better and they do not bother...

Starting invisalign

I started my invisalign today. I got my first trays in and I had 8 attachments put in, I feel like that seems like a lot. Do you think so? I had braces about seven years ago and have slight crowding in my lower teeth. This is why I chose invisalign. My dentist said that my invisalign is "invisa...

Re: How many attachments before you wish you had normal brac

I have 8 attachments and they are making feel shy about talking, so when I smile I try not to smile with all by teeth like my bicuspids, because I have attachments on them. I agree that with normal metal braces it is no big deal, because they look like braces. With invisalign it just looks like you h...
