My midline is off + bimaxillary protrusion
Although the bimaxillary protrusion is not addressed prior to the treatment, I haven't gotten any extractions which bothers me because i think having this braces would become useless to the fact that i am having this not just to straighten my teeth but to functionally treat/reduce my protrusion. and...

Uhhhm. Weird
This is weird for people with braces would say that braces hurt like hell and they torment your life for 2 to 3 years but it's different for me actually. I feel the pain with braces. Actually it's pretty painful but I could carry on with it but is it natural to feel a bit masochistic with braces? Be...

Re: Will i have a straight face??
I can view in now and from the x-ray, I think we have similar problem. I do think braces can treat it with extractions. I am really not into surgery. I dont know why.
I would love to follow your journey and know if it really changes your profile. Good luck.

Re: TinkB's Story
Hi Miss TinkB. Did you profile change for the better? Did your protrusion reduce?

Re: Will i have a straight face??
If you have the so called bimaxillary protrusion, it will help you face to change for the better. Your profile view would be better. So just say yes with extractions.

Re: How do people come up with the money (just curious)?
I guess I'm just very lucky. I live in Philippines and braces cost like 800-1000 dollars. Crazy right? I had my braces like for free because my dentist is a friend of my mother's lol. But orthognathic surgery is not supported here in my hometown. I have to go to Manila to have an inquiry about ortho...

Re: PICTURES INCLUDED bimax protrusion
I think I have the same problem as yours so I'll stay tuned to this. I think my problem is much worse than yours. My ortho didn't really like extractions so I have none.
I don't know if that's the right decision.

Re: Lips sticking out?
From what I've learned from the Internet, self-ligating braces or Damon braces are much faster than the usual traditional braces. It improves your teeth's alignment and smile. I'm using traditional braces though. XD
Just google it if you want to know more. Regards.

Re: Lips sticking out?
I think 3mm isn't enough. You should go with self-ligating braces because it has fewer appointments and it does not just take care of the alignment of your teeth but also with your profile and smile.

Re: No pain?
It's a bit weird for me because in I myself would feel great to little pain in every adjusments but I think I understand how your body adapts to your braces. We have different pain tolerance and you have great pain tolerance.

Re: Lips sticking out?
I don't really like to recommend invisalign to you because as far I've learned out from people and from this forum, invisaligns are for minor issues. Maybe plain straightening teeth or something. But your concern is your top lip which I guess, is caused by the improper jaw alignment. Get some second...

Re: Lips sticking out?
WE have the same problem. I look horrible on the profile. I think it's a skeletal problem. If your arch is narrow, it could be widened and your protrusion would be less. Or you could try extractions. I'm having braces right now and I'm afraid my ortho does not know that I have been having braces to ...
