i have hawley...and i dint have a choice.

I had traditional metal braces top and bottom...

And movement....im only a month and some out of wearing braces

So yes there is slight movement but thats bcuz the ortho is using the retainer to do one or two lil adjustments still...

I got them off a month about on Monday..
And since then i have had one appointment same time frame as when i had braces (Every 3 weeks)

I wear them 24/7
My next appointment is May 09th

So i just had my 1st appointment since getting retainers.... The ortho shaved down and level off my front teeth... And he made an adjustment in the retainer wire(upper) that is now putting pressure on my teeth so i guess he's shifting it a bit... Other than that the both retainers feel tighter so i...

Cuz u think oh i can be normal and eat in public without worrying too much about food getting stuck in ur braces.... And then comes retainers.....Same worrying about having to brush/rinse ...

Sometimes you dont really feel soreness until at least a week after....U might jus feel pressure but not soreness. I kno after a few of my adjustments i felt fine...Ate lunch and dinner like normal.. Then prob 2 weeks later i would have a sore tooth or a couple sore teeth in the area where the adju...

I have hawley retainers top and bottom. Putting them on and off can hurt a big but once they click into place its fine if it wasn't for the lisp when speaking I wouldn't notice I had them in. And yes taking out my lower ones always hit against my back right molars so I have a spot that is always sore.

I see a great deal of changes looking at ur wires. Plus as someone said. You're only 5months in. Plus some changes u feel more than u see. Like ur bite gets better and teeth that never touch before started to touch.

Do u hav an earlier picture?
Sometimes looking at the wire itself shows movement as apposed to looking directly at the teeth for changes.

The wire may look straighter over time.
