Re: Ortho says it's done but it doesn't seem so :(.Need opin

Ortho says it's done but it doesn't seem so :(.Need opinion!
I need a 2nd opinion on what I should do... Opinion from any ortho would be great. Ok. I have braces on now for slightly more than 2 yrs. From the front my smile is definitely improved. But it's not what I feel like an optimal result. Here's what's bothering me: I think the maxillary incisors, espec...

Re: What was your primary reason for orthodontic treatment?
Function primary. Used to keep biting my cheeks front and back. Back was fixed with wisdom teeth extraction. Hope the braces will move the front teeth back a little and take care of the front cheek bite prob. Also need crowns for the top incisors due to trauma yrs ago.... Figure i should have a good...

Re: How long did it take for your new-braces-pain to subside
First 2 wks was hell. Was taking advil on a schedule basis the whole time. And I never ever taken really any pain med before that. Except for that one time about 9 yrs before when I got 3 wisdom teeth out by an oral surgeon. Now 8 months later, i don't even need to take pain med anymore, even after ...

Re: How self-conscious are you about your braces?
1. It only bothers me sometimes getting in the way of eating and things get stucked and that i have to go to the restroom after eating out all the time now and that i can't make a quick getaway from the restaurant. As far as how self conscious with having braces in front of other people, not much at...

Re: Eating habits with braces!
Just take a little while to get used to everything. After 4 months, now i don't even have to take any pain meds after adjustment. I did remember the first wk I had to take pain meds religiously or else. No change in eating habit. Was never big on biting into apple or corn cob. Steak, caramel candies...

Re: Anyone else accidentally bite lips or inside of cheeks?
Before braces, I bite the bottom cheek on either side right under the canine at least once a month if not more. When it happens, my life for that whole wk is miserable. that has decreased considerably since braces. And when it does, it's a lot less severe. that was one of my hope is that braces woul...
