i had the same problem ... missing my lateral incisor but i got a completely different treatment .... my canines are being moved to the place of the missing incisors and reshaped to look as close as a regular incisor.... i am glad you was able to fix your smile .... and the results are great !

i have braces and i chew gum all of the time ..... sometimes it can stuck in your teeth but you can easily remove it with the toothbrush .... but when you have spacers in your mouth (those elastics that they put between your teeth at the beginning of the treatment ) chewing gum can remove the spacer...
