my tongue got pretty nasty a week or so after surgery too. It was a little brown and i could not stand it! from what i found online its because of all the medications, and mouth rinse the doctor had you on. try a salt water rinse and eat a lot of yogurt, the probiotics seemed to work good for me.

Im 4 weeks post op from a le fort 3 peice. Even though my os said my healing is ahead of schedule, i am still banded shut for 2 more weeks. My question is, does anyone else open their mouth to talk with the bands/splint in? It makes it much better to talk and everything feels fine, i only open it a ...

So far my favorite food has been soups with the chunks strained out. Much better than liquifying the whole soup.

I'm 2 days post-op from a le fort 3 piece and I have developed some bumps or blisters on the roof of my mouth. I think it's from swallowing and creating more of a suction up there but has anyone else experienced this? They're kind of like the blisters you would get if you ate something too hot.I can...
