Re: 55yo just got invisalign. I think I'll need lots of supp

Just to add as well that on the Invisalign web site they recommend that aligners are worn for 20-22 hours per day : http://www.invisalign.com/Pages/Frequently-Asked-Questions.aspx Personally, I feel more confident keeping it at 21 and a half minimum as really want it to work OK! And just to advise t...

Don't worry, it's early days yet and you will get used to it in time. The headaches etc. are most probably to do with you tensing up because this is something new and you are still getting used to it. You could give yourself another half an hour a day so it is 21.5 - I find that little bit extra can...

Re: chaulk mouth invisalign

You may be having a reaction to the cleaner. This happened to me, I was using Steradent to clean the trays and Listerine as a mouthwash. I ended up with a really bad taste in my mouth that wouldn't go away until I figured this out. You might want to think about stopping the cleaner or thinking about...

Re: New guy to Invisalign

Hi I take my little travel kit everywhere (toothbrush, toothpaste, floss) rather than waiting till I get home, it's easier to have them with me so I don't worry about leaving them out too long. Can see that it might be more difficult for a bloke though, maybe you should have a look around for a trav...

Re: New to Invisalign - Hi

Hi there, I'm at the same stage as you, with 21U and 21L. I'm now on my second tray, shortly to go on to the third. Also hated my teeth for years but I wasn't really in the position (financially) to do anything about it and also thought I was too old! I found the first 2 weeks really hard and had a ...

Is there a good natural way to clean aligners?

Hi all

Anyone know of a good way to clean the aligners that doesn't involve chemicals?

Re: Looks like I'm going to have to stop this.....

Thanks for replying! (glad someone did...). Turns out it was a bad reaction to using Listerine Total Care and Steradent (which I'd been using to clean the trays). Phew, big relief! Now that I have stopped using both it has gone. The dry mouth has even lessened a bit - if anyone reading this has the ...

Looks like I'm going to have to stop this.....

I started my second tray 3 days ago. Since then I have had the most unbelievably BAD taste in my mouth, it's really awful. I had a bit of this during the first week of treatment but it went after a day or so, this time it has just carried on getting worse. Have never had anything like it. Finally in...

Re: How do you get used to Invisalign (Help!!)
I had the same panicky feeling when I started more than a year ago! I guess you just get use to it...somehow.. When some of the trays were cutting my gum I asked to myself many times: why am I doing this to me?! :-+ But I never liked my teeth...so thinkin...

How do you get used to Invisalign (Help!!)

Hi all, I am on day 6 of my first tray and have 20 to go. What I am wondering is..... how on earth do you get used to having these things in your mouth, they are driving me crazy!! Taking them out and putting them in isn't too much of a problem so far. I can also cope with the tooth-brushing routine...
