Re: Motorcycle riders - post surgery
Believe it or not guys, my OS said only 6 weeks before he thinks I can put it back on!!!!! I'll probably try to wait 3 months tho just in case..... Maybe there's a difference between ages and health that go into the decision,... I drink but don't smoke and am only 26 for example.... Either way, w00t...

Re: Motorcycle riders - post surgery
The chin strap for the helmet may be an issue after surgery. How long it takes for complete healing is something that doctors have varying opinions on. Wouldn't ya know it.. I had an appt with my OS Thursday and we discussed what he'll do, I asked about my diet, if I'll be wired shut (no!! yay!!) a...

Re: How does one afford this surgery??
I'm getting Lefort I, Sagittal Split and a septoplasty all at once. My surgery would cost me $36K were I to pay for it out of pocket, but with my insurance and my doctors, well.... My oral surgeon was able to convince the insurance company that my surgery is a medical necessity... I went and got tes...

Re: what are you trying to give up for braces
[quote="ambraced"] Those pictures are usually used as scare tactics to make sure kids and adults alike take good care of their teeth while they're in braces. Most of those pictures you see are of people who severely neglected their oral hygiene. You should be perfectly fine as long as you ...

Re: I'm finally braced!
Ah, ok, I was just curious cuz it just seems a little odd to brace only one side... Except for things like when I had just the front 4 bracketed for my gap as a teen lol
