Big space?!

Hi everyone!
I've had my braces for nearly 10 wks now, loads of movement. However, my bottom teeth have got quite big spaces between then. Will they close up again? X

Re: Day one!!

Well I'm 9 weeks in and had my first adjustment. New wire on top but same on bottom as still some 'untwisting' to do. Was a bit achy a day after but fine now. They put my ligatures on differently, they are now in a sideways figure of 8 on each bracket? So a wee twist in the middle of each? Does anyo...

Then today I looked and checked against old pics. My top teeth are practically in a perfect arch!! I am beyond happy!!! This feeling makes it a...

Re: Braces tomorrow...

Best of luck for today!! I have had my braces in for a week now and I'm really used to them. Still feels odd eating but nothing major. I had spacers the week before and they ached but I've not had any pain other than my lower arch wire being too long and cutting my cheek, went back to the ortho and ...

Re: Day one!!

Sorry if I've scared anyone!!! Not my intentions.... I'm at day 6 now and whilst I'm still very aware of them, I'm not in any pain and other that a slight lisp due to my lips not fitting well I'm fine. I have got one wee wobbly tooth, which I can feel clicking... if I wobbly it too much will it come...

Re: Day one!!

Thanks everyone!! It was a big shock to be honest, I was really worrying about how the look but not how they would feel and it's the complete opposite.... I went back to the ortho today as my lower wire was too big and digging holes in my cheeks. They trimmed it down and it's 100% better already, I'...

Re: Bracket positioning

Ah that makes sense! I get mine on in January so I'm noticing all the differences between braces on different people.

Bracket positioning

Why do some people have brackets high on the tooth? And other a lot lower?
Is there a reason for this? x

Appointments - what to expect?

Hi everyone, I've just had 2 appointments though for January, 1 week apart. I've had all the moulds, xrays, pictures taken, met with the surgeon & ortho to agree my treatment earlier this year. I was just waiting to get started... What will happen in these 2 appointments? Will I get the braces o...

Re: Mandibular Advancement

Hi Christine, Is teeth protruding an overbite or jet? I get confused. I though overjet was when the bottom teeth touched the roof of mouth? My teeth measure 13mm from my bottom teeth to front teeth whilst biting down. My teeth are where they need to be apart from slight crowding so my measurement wo...
