Yup, chewing does feel strange! It does feel like my teeth squash into my jaw a bit and I need to be careful and slow as I chew. I believe it's partly to do with the numbness. Chewing does get easier over time I've found. Enjoy your food!

Hi Class3underbiteboy, it is nothing major and could also be partly due to swelling. I noticed slightly more 'jowlage' because my face has shortened a bit and was curious to hear what others have experienced/done about this. It's not like my face is 'melting' lol!

I'll be 6 weeks post op next Tues and my stitches are still firmly in place and showing no signs of dissolving. They can be a little sore at times too so I'm going to try the salt-water rinses, see if that helps - good advice!
