You are not alone!
I will have been in braces for 2 years this May and depending on how treatment goes, could be getting them off in December. But if I have to, I will keep them in longer for as near to perfect results as possible

Had the crossbite ones on both sides FOREVER it seems, definitely at least 9 months before my orthodox switched to closing the extraction gaps with elastics. Had those babies on and saw movement right away but I don't think I get to stop using elastics anytime soon, cus my midlines are way off -_-;;

I used to chew constantly til I got elastics on both sides and couldn't chew anymore since they had to be on 24/7 but I still eat caramel popcorn everytime at the movies
