This might be a weird question but, after my lower braces were taken off today, my gum line appears to be a lot lower, with more tooth showing. Anyone else had this? Is it normal?

It wasn'y as bad an experience as I thought it would be. And the permanent retainer is great! Don't even notice it!

Yeah I think it's down to opinion. But for me permanent retainers are definately the best option, seeing as I talk for a living I can't really be lisping all over the place until I got used to removable ones - that would be disaster. hehe

Not too long only about 10 months as my problem was overcrowding.
