Re: Robot Teeth! (pics)
I completely missed this thread until now. I agree with kipepeo - your teeth really are such a nice shape. You're going to look fantastic when your treatment is done. Have you adjustmed more to the molar buildups? I forget I even have mine now. Mine are on my upper molars, though. I can't wait to se...

Re: Best lip balm/chap stick for bracing?
I pretty much just use whatever I have around - Nivea, ChapStick, Blistex, etc. However, if my lips are particularly dry I use Medicated ChapStick. It works really well.

Re: sigh.
I'm so sorry you keep having all of these problems. I hope (crossing my fingers) that this will be the last major issue you have. I am glad to hear that you're feeling better now. I still think it's a good idea to ask about switching over to your ortho's private practice. You are right - you are all...

I'm the same as everyone else - WaterPik, floss, interdental brush, toothbrush, mouth wash.

I feel like my adjustments are so far apart - every 10-12 weeks.

Re: Molar Buildups. For how long?
Four months in and I don't notice mine nearly as much anymore (it was like this after about two months, though). However, I did get to the point where I was just tearing my food into tiny pieces in order to have to chew as little as possible. Mine are so ground down now that they're only just a slig...

I'm sorry you had so many issues to deal with at first, but I'm glad they were able to get you back in so quickly! I was very paranoid to brush with my electric toothbrush at first too. How has day 2 gone so far? Are you experiencing much pain? I hope everything is going well!

Re: Does anyone else feel this way?
Good luck! I purposely left my notecard in the car today because I was too nervous to talk to my doctor about the things I had written down, *sigh* I hope you do a lot better than I did! I'm hoping next month to get the courage to ask a question at my ortho appointment!

Re: Coil Springs
I have a coil but this has never happened to me before. If it did, I would call my ortho's office and see what they wanted me to do. If you don't have an appointment soon they may want you to come in so they can fix it quickly. I hope you're able to get it sorted!

Re: Does anyone else feel this way?
I have this problem ALL the time. I have a hard time bringing stuff up with any medical professional (I have a doctor's appointment in the morning and I am seriously dreading it!) I really like what SnowGlobe said. I was having horrible pain from a filling a while back and I was nervous to speak wit...

Re: Crazy Dream
I've had so many crazy dreams since getting braces. The first one I had I could feel one of my brackets pop off and when I leaned over to spit it out, all of my teeth and brackets fell into my hand. I was just clutching a pile of my teeth and they were spilling everywhere. When I woke up, my hand wa...

Re: Unexpected upsides to braces
Rach44- have you tried a buying a chopper? I have found that I can still eat raw vegetables if they are chopped up. I have been successful with carrots, broccoli, cauliflower... I hadn't thought of that, but that's a really great idea! Thanks for the suggestion. :) I've been eating shredded carrots...
