Re: What would you do?
Thank you all for your replies. I'm going in next wednesday to have them removed and a bonded retainer installed. I get the comment about the settling but I'm having a bonded retainer. I don't think he should have offered taking them off if it wasn't a good idea, and he did so now I am. I think my t...

What would you do?
So here goes... I went in for my adjustment at the end of last month and was pretty open about wanting and ETA for debracing. Doc says a couple months, then asks if I have some special event coming up that I would need them off earlier for, and I said no. But in reality, the special event is that I ...

Re: Braced at 24...Oh the floss we thread...
So I just came back from my adjustment... I have power chains on the bottom and regular bands on top. I have a small gap on the bottom that needs to be closed and hopefully that will happen over the next month. The top feels the same as last time I went in, and my ortho says I should be done in a co...

Re: Kitsune's Amazing Adventure with Braces
Just wanted to peek in and say hello and it's nice to hear you're having a positive braces journey. The pink ligs look great. That's awesome you won't have to wear elastics...I'm curious to find out if your ortho mentions why...keep us posted!

Re: Braced at 24...Oh the floss we thread...
Thanks for your reply scully! So today I went in to have my permanent crowns done, they look nice. It was kind of painful, to be honest, but I made it through although my gum is still a little store from the three injections I had to get completely numb. I'm glad that's all over, now I'm just waitin...

Re: x-rays during orthodontic treatment & your experience
I had one at the beginning and another during, a few weeks ago. I had to have some other dental work done during the treatment so I needed the x-rays for that, but it was nice to see the difference since the beginning of treatment in the x-rays.

Re: What have your down moments been and why? (caution: rant
I understand exactly how you feel...and that is why I'm on this site as much as I am. I've recently been feeling down because I'm at the 1 year mark, and each month I go in, it seems like there's not a whole lot of progress being made so I feel like I'm never going to get these braces removed. I act...

Re: How long did you have to wear elastics?
Thank you to all of those that replied! I was trying to get an idea of how long I might be in the elastics since they are to correct my cross bite. Going back in tomorrow, hoping for good news!

How long did you have to wear elastics?
I did a search but didn't see this anywhere so I'm asking. I know that elastics are generally the last phase of treatment for most cases but even if it wasn't, I'm curious to know how long you had to wear them? Did you have them in the same position the whole time or did you have multiple formations...

Re: Braced at 24...Oh the floss we thread...
I am in pain. A lot of pain. I went in on Thursday and had two crowns done on my back right molars and I wasn't expecting the pain to last this long. It's a dull ache but pretty constant, especially at night. I'm afraid to chew anything on that side because I don't the temps to come off. Other than ...

I have 8, 4 on top, 4 on bottom. I've only used 3 so far...hoping I won't have to use anymore...although I'm thinking I won't be that lucky.

Re: Questions about triangular elastics
I am in the exact same situation...how often are you wearing the elastics? I try to where mine all the time, but it simply is not possible with everything I've got going on in my life so I usually get in 8-10 hours a day. I only put them on when I know I'll keep them on for at least a few hours. I w...

Hope your treatment has improved! Good luck with everything, it gets better with time. And yes, your treatment is very cheap!
