Re: Lilone's invisalign experience

Thanks, Spotted Pickle! I'm very, very happy with my new smile! Yesterday was a big day in my world! I got my attachments off and got scanned for my Vivera retainer! WHOOT! The process is just about over and... I made it. Two and a half years ago I could barely sit down in the chair, my phobia was s...

Re: Lilone's invisalign experience

And, finally, the most embarrassing picture but the one that has the most impact, for me. My first thought about posting this was "Lets hope no one I know ever sees this!" but then I realized I walked around like this for more than 15 years so...

Re: Lilone's invisalign experience

It looks like it will only accept 2-3 pictures per post so I will post the bottom comparison pictures separately. What a difference!

Re: Lilone's invisalign experience

I knew I hadn't been on for a while but I didn't realize quite how long it had been until I saw that there were so many unfamiliar names on here and my journal was on page 4! Things have continued to progress since January, although it is less visible since most changes are very minor aesthetically ...

Re: Acceledent Device

I started using AcceleDent nearly a year into my treatment and the difference was very obvious. I'll now be finishing a year ahead of schedule. I didn't start until that time in my treatment because that is when it was approved for use in Canada, although it has been used in England and Australia fo...

Re: Lilone's invisalign experience

Hi all! Jem it is good to see that you are still around. I hope life in retainers is treating you well. It won't be long before I join you! Modogg, I think you got my pm. Let us know what you decide to do. There are no words to say how excited I am today! Yesterday I went to get my refinement aligne...

Re: Lilone's invisalign experience

Well, it finally happened! I got those pesky attachments off! I cannot tell you how much better I feel without them. And what is even better is that my ortho doesn't expect he will need any attachments for my refinements. Whoot! It is really surprising to me how well my teeth turned out in only a ye...

Re: Lilone's invisalign experience

I thought I'd update as I get closer to the end of my first round of treatment. I have 4 trays left (at 5 days each) until I go to get my attachments removed and hopefully I can get my refinement scans at the same time. As things straighten up, I notice two key things. First, I actually really like ...

Re: Lilone's invisalign experience

It has been an eventful week or two for me with regard to Invisalign. One night I was walking around while using my AcceleDent and the mouthpiece detached from the rest of the device and the important part fell while the mouthpiece stayed in my mouth. The fall was enough to make my poor Acceledent g...

Re: Lilone's invisalign experience

Hi Jem! I imagine in the past month you have gotten quite used to wearing the essix full time. I haven't lost weight since Invisalign because when they come off I eat for my life! You get used to it remarkably quickly. I always thought my tea drinking would be an issue but I also gulp my tea down no...

Re: Ordering Essix Retainers Online

It seems like quite a risk. I have heard that Invisalign sometimes rejects the moulds made at ortho offices because they were not done properly and the patient has to go back and do it again. If this is the case, I would worry about the quality and accuracy of a self made impression. If you had Invi...

Re: Unsatisfied with result, braces off soon plz judge and h

How did it go? Did you let them know that you weren't satisfied?

I'm sorry that you didn't get too many responses. I think the reason is that you posted in the journals section instead of the metal mouth message forum.

Hopefully everything will be resolved to your satisfaction. Good luck!

Re: Unsatisfied with result, braces off soon plz judge and h

I am not a professional and don't know the whole story but from a laypersons view, I don't think you're finished at all. If the last picture is you current bite situation and your ortho thinks you are done, then I think you need to go somewhere else for a second opinion. It looks like there is still...

Re: opera^gal's story

I was on holiday for a few weeks and have decided to check up on the journals of a few people I have been following. Oh my! So much has happened for you in a couple of weeks! That is fantastic news that no root canal is necessary. Is the splint an essex style retainer? Is it still fixing the problem...

Re: Jem's belated story

I think I should be either finished or ready for refinements just after Christmas....if all goes well. I have posted a picture on my page that shows where I was last month and my naughty canine looks esthetically worse than ever at the moment because it is completely raised out of line with the othe...
