I got elastics 3 months after I started treatment and I wore them for 2.5 years until my last appointment.

My ortho's pffice has a sign posted that says they never use recycled brackets.

Elastics don't necessarily mean the end of treatment. I started with elastics trhee months after I started treatment and I had to wear them in different configurations for the remainder of the treatment which lasted 2.5 years.

I had impressions made for my top bonded retainer 5 weeks before debanding and I got lower impressions done for my hawley after the braces were off and I picked the retainer up 2 days later.

Congrats!!! I remember we were supposed to get debanded around the same time. Your teeth look great.

Did you haqve your bonded retainer removed? I have a bonded retainer on the top and I have a slight gap, but that was there when I got the braces removed. I just wanted them off because the gap would never stay closed. I thought the bonded retainer would prevent spaces from re-opening.

I used the Crest Whitestrips Premium the day I got my braces off and I didn't have any problems. They gave pretty good results too.

I noticed mine were sticking out too and my second molars were never bracketed. I just got my braces off and the issue was never addressed.

I was told to take them out to eat and brush.

Congrats!!!! I love reading stories like yours. I will be joining the club in 6 days that seem like forever. I don't think Tuesday will ever get here . I try to imagine how my teeth will look, but I am not very excited. Did you have the same feeling?
