DRG yeah I've been taking walks every few days. One good thing about Missouri is there are a lot of cool trails to walk on when you want to get away from air conditioning and urban areas.

Yeah luckily they just did it with my braces! There are gaps in my upper row of teeth that I think they were going to do something with regarding the surgery but there's nothing there so idk if I was supposed to get the bar things and just didn't or what.

Oh if it helps I had double jaw surgery. Just wanting to know if everyone is having a long a process as I am for recovery.

Hey all, been wired shut for four weeks this Friday and won't get the wires cut until next Friday (should have been tomorrow but the surgeon is gone all week - no I'm not angry lol :twisted: ). I can't fit anything my mouth is completely wired tight.

Just over three weeks out and there is a ton of plaque build up on the inside of my teeth. Particularly the bottom row. I have rinsed constantly with ACT and tried "scrubbing" with my tongue and some frothy toothpaste but nothing has done the trick. Anybody?

I never really noticed it when my mouth wasn't wired shut, but now that my jaw is clenched 99% of the time and my jaws are in different positions, I can really tell how these muscles move when I do. Turning my head to the far left or far right kinda of tautens the wire on my bottom row of teeth, and...

I'm only a week and a day post op with no numbness and very minimal pain or even discomfort. I had an IVRO cut on the lower jaw, top jaw was moved up and forward however many mm (I forgot). Swelling has gone down a ton, I'm surprised I have so little pain too because so many people have talked about...

Haha to be honest I think I am doing a lot better than most people at my stage of "the process." Swelling isn't all that bad, surgeon actually said less than average. A little bit of liquid hydrochodone keeps me sedated for a long time, I took a shower just the other day. Really don't feel...

The dude I know all about that! It sucks because sometimes people think I come across as timid or week but I'm not really a shy person at all. It's just hard to say things loud enough or with the right inflection sometimes.

So I have an underbite, it's not like super bad but it's noticeable. Luckily I'm getting it fixed on the 27th of this month so just kinda waiting around until then.
