You're making great progress. I'm also middle-aged with a small jaw and had a lower front tooth removed. Interesting that they did it a few weeks after you were braced. I had mine removed prior to bracing.

My ortho instructed me to soak them in vinegar/water once a week for about an hour.

Yes, they move quickly. I was fitted for my retainer before my braces were removed. I now wear the retainers two nights a week. They feel a little tight when they first go on which means that my teeth have shifted.

It's been awhile since this topic has been posted and I have finally decided, after all this time, the foods to which I would rather just say forget it. Not worth it. The problem is--I really like it! Chicken and rice...the rice gets stuck under the archwire everywhere. I need my waterpik every tim...

All my wires were intact during my cleanings.

My ortho did some finishing touches by bending the wires a few weeks before I had my braces off.

You're very lucky. I had the same problem but they removed one of my front teeth then closed the gap with braces. I've got a very small mouth. More than likely your crowding would have gotten progressively worse as you got older so it's great that you're getting it taken care of.

I was going to suggest that you keep it in a retainer case in your purse until I saw that you were Bryan.

Hi guy's. i have worn both my hawley retainers for 8 months now but i lost my lower retainers (which were hawley spring retainers) 2 months ago. i am about to pay for replacements but i wanted to know by by not wearing my lower retainers for two months would it move my teeth back or do i still have...
