Bonding

(Can I ask this here??)

I am going to get a peg lateral tooth bonded (the other one is crowned--which I am replacing). Have you had a front tooth bonded? Does it look real? Do you have any pros or cons to share?

Thanks!

My ortho said the electric toothbrush is the best option and is quite preferred. I've been braced for 3 1/2 weeks and use it all the time. Nothing has come loose or tangled. It works great!

I had my first visit in September to get an idea of what could be done and for how much. Then, in order to save the proper amount of money, I scheduled my records appt in January. Two weeks after that I had my final consultation and two weeks after that my braces. They were speedy--I was the one tha...

Obsessed!

I got my braces on Feb 11 and I check for movement every day! It makes me laugh. Something has moved because I bump a bottom tooth with my top tooth--something that never happened pre-braces.

I think you are fine waiting the two weeks since it wasn't attached to the wire anyway. You can always call them to see what they prefer, but I bet that'd be alright.

Perhaps the teeth attached to the wire have to move before they can hook them to the molars...?

I had braces from 13-16 and do not remember any talk of jaw surgery. Now, at 37, I have lower braces and my ortho mentioned jaw surgery because I have a short lower jaw. I told him I just want the braces to fix the crowding teeth--no more. Honestly, I don't know if the jaw surgery was merely a cosme...

I got mine on Feb 11 and I am used to every aspect (finally) EXCEPT for eating. I do eat, but it still feels very chaotic. I have lost 8 lbs which is a big perk!!

You're almost done! I wouldn't worry about it now. I have ceramic on the bottom (nothing on top) and I am very happy with them. They are bigger and I second guessed myself for that, but the truth is, 90% of the people I've talked to didn't even know I had braces on while talking to me. (harder to no...

I'm paying $2300 for lower ICE (1 year) and was quoted $1900 for lower metal (1 year) and $4000 for total Invisalign (top & bottom, 1 year). I'm in California.

No, not painful. My ortho took various x-rays with fancy equipment, regular photographs, and impressions. Impressions are definitely not my favorite, but they are super quick these days.

It's not possible, right?

Are colored ligs bigger than clear? I just got my clear ones taken off and pearl ones put on (yesterday). Today, it feels like I can barely cover my braces with my lip. My chin is sore from trying to stretch. Isn't that weird? I can't imagine they are that much bigger even if they are. Strage...

Wow. You look amazing. I see my features in your before pics. I am not considering surgery, but it is amazing to see what can be done. The funny thing is, I knew my profile, chin, and gummy smile were not ideal, but I consider myself attractive and never focused on them too much. It wasn't until the...
