Re: BracketRacket's story
Soooo.....a few more days until the three-year mark! Oy...haha! In some ways, I can't believe the surgery was more than three years ago, and in others, it seems like forever. I finally had the baby premolar removed late last year (so I guess almost a year ago -- wow!) Since then, we've been through ...

Yeah, I can imagine how frustrating that must have been! Hopefully it's smooth sailing from now on!

Re: BracketRacket's story
Too funny! I feel like we should leave secret messages!
I'm still battling the extra space, it tends to move around between my front teeth, the lateral incisors, etc -- someday it'll go away!

Re: BracketRacket's story
Wow, it's been awhile! Still braced (yay!). Just had an adjustment today. The bottom is looking pretty good, extraction gap is long gone.....but, have a new ginormous one on top -- my baby tooth finally bit the dust, had it extracted last month. So that'll be another long process, we're trying to mo...

Re: Can I go on roller coaster 2 months post op sarpe?
When I asked my surgeon if it was OK to go on roller coasters, he looked at me like I was crazy, and was like "of course!" Granted, this was well more than two months post-op! I have ridden many coasters since, and had no issues. If I were you, I'd check with your surgeon, though, just to ...

So I have even more to look forward to? Yippeee!
Thanks -- trying to keep it waxed, but it's a challenge. I'll let you know if I get any enligtenment!

Re: BracketRacket's story
So I was wrong when I said ow last week. This week OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! I've been pretty miserable since Wednesday. On that fateful day, the "fake tooth" was removed, and I got a powerchain between the right lateral incisor and the remaining central. I got a wire on the ...

Powerchain ow (and not of the usual variety!)
So, I had a lower central incisor extracted, and the fake tooth bonding was just removed so that we can start closing the gap. I have a powerchain from the lateral incisor to the remaining central. It's three loops long, one hooked around each tooth and one in the middle just kind of hanging out. Th...

Re: BracketRacket's story
http://i858.photobucket.com/albums/ab148/BracketRacket/Teeth7-31.jpg So I'm going through one of my "my teeth are so gross, ugh" modes. One day... So, I had the extraction. Had the lovely extraction gap for, oh, one day, then my ortho made me a fakey (red arrow) -- it even has its own bra...

Re: SARPE picture progress.. I still hate this gap 4 month l
You had a bone-borne expander! You are the first (other!) person I've seen with one! Check out my story (click link in my signature) if you want to see my pics. My gap closed a lot on its own before I got the top braces, but you'll get there, I promise! Roughly a year later, the gap between my front...

Re: BracketRacket's story
Thanks opera^gal. Getting nervous...two days to go. Here are some pics taken today, haven't posted pics in months! You can see the bottom, the right central incisor, (on right in pic) is the one who's time in this world is nearly up. Will try to get a sharper pic, but you can see the bottom row have...

Re: BracketRacket's story
Yeah, he's going to close the gap -- he said it came down to four premolars or the incisor! I wasn't quite expecting it with the surgery (SARPE), but can't avoid it, I guess! My extraction is scheduled for 6/22 in the morning. They are planning to use IV sedation -- don't know if it's really necessa...
