I had an advancement in Aug 09 (even though I was not meant to) My upper lip pre surgery was very long and flexible and had a gap of like 2mm between top and bottom lip and only showed tips of teeth, post surgery it was very short and inflexible thats how I knew I had been advanced....

Oh...and again just a reminder...I never had severely misaligned jaws either!! I had misaligned teeth.

My before and after photos are DRAMATIC to say the least!! The ortho 1's are not a true representation as I took the befores in 2005 and the afters in 2009 I had obviously changed alot since then and when they show me my befores and afters I try to tell them I did not look like that prior to surgery...

Another reason could be because I never felt pain post op so moved my jaws alot I only did 1 week of ibruprofen and that was it so my jaw was moving from the get go... It seems to me that people who have to wear elastics to fine tune...

Wow...those two images look like they are in reverse order...your teeth looked fine before but with regards to your question...yes the bottom teeth look like they are tipping forward.
