Re: Adult braces resulting in noticeable facial asymmetry

I am also dealing with increased asymmetry. I was never perfectly symmetrical to begin with. I am missing teeth on my lower right side, and my invisalign is widening my arches. The lower arch has different resistance on the right side than the left due to the missing teeth and the right side has wid...

Re: Oral Lichen Planus and Relapse

Thank you for replying to me as well! My dentist prescribed SLS free toothpaste by colgate and an extra soft post surgical toothbrush. These have helped a lot, but they do not clean my teeth very well. A few times a week, I resort to a regular soft toothbrush and regular toothpaste, to get my teeth ...

Re: Oral Lichen Planus and Relapse

Hi Gina, I am sorry to hear you are going through this and I hope it clears up for you. I have OLP as well and it is a frustrating condition. I had octagon shaped purplish lesions suddenly appear on my ankles and wrists around January 2013. I thought I was getting bitten by bugs or something. Later ...

Re: Advice on my situation?

Hi. The estimated treatment time given to me by my ortho was 18-24 months. I received 28 trays which is only about 13 months. I think it just depends on the number of different movements and the types of movements needed. I know some types of movements are much faster than others. There is also the ...

Re: My storage solution.

Hi!
That is a great idea you have to prevent warping in the car! I also use peroxide and water to soak my aligners. I find it works well and they stay very clear. It is unfortunate that this forum does not seem to have much traffic. Good luck with your journey!

A little annoyed at my ortho, and also at myself.

Hello Everyone. I had an ortho appointment yesterday, and I left the office feeling disappointed and a bit discouraged. (a little background) I am middle aged and this is my second time in braces. I am correcting relapse of my overbite and deep bite. I have porcelain veneers and crowns on most of my...

Re: Invisalign Tray Removal Tips

Hi,
I remove mine by prying from the inside edge on the farthest tooth. I usually use a plastic spoon as a tool to save my nails.

Re: What are your worst braces symptoms?

Hello.
The worst symptom I am having is intermittent heat/warm sensitivity in one tooth. There is no abscess, no one can tell me why this is happening. :soremouth:

Progress

Hi Everyone. I am about 8 weeks into my journey and I have settled into my invisalign routine and it's honestly not too bad. The attachments have added an element of annoyance, but I am learning to deal with it. There is one attachment on my lower canine that pinches my lip when I eat, and that is p...

Attachments are on. :(

Hello Everyone, I just got back from my ortho visit. I got my attachments and some IPR. Since I have crowns and veneers, they had to do some special prep for the attachments to adhere properly. They really went at the teeth hard core with a dremel like tool and the result was very rough. I sure hope...

Re: I did it!

I never really liked IPR, not because of discomfort, but because I knew I'd never get the enamel back and I worked hard for that enamel damnit  Did you decide to do the first day of the new job with, or without your aligners? I know what you mean about that enamel, it is more precious than go...

Oh, I forgot to mention, I am starting a NEW job tomorrow. I think I might leave my trays out for introductions and training.
