I've never had trouble putting in or removing my aligners, ever. Not on the first day I started or on the first day of any of the subsequent aligners. Tight would be the best way to describe the first day or two of every aligner, but never so tight that I was in pain or frustrated or couldn't pop th...

Quick poll... Which toothpaste do you use?

Crest Pro Health for me. Seems like a good everyday toothpaste, my teeth are also kindof sensitive so I think it helps. It also tastes really good.

I'm more or less finished with my treatment now. Started last February with 13 upper and 9 lower, finished all of that in mid August. Basically I had some minor spacing between my upper teeth and some minor crowding in my lower teeth. Once I was done my dentist equilibrated (sp?) my bite by grinding...

I brush my aligners twice a day and other than that just rinse them off when I take them out. I've been wearing the same aligners for about five months now (as retainers) and they're not cloudy or smelly. The key is just to make sure that they get rinsed off every time you take them out and that you...

I should say though that there are still little gaps without the aligners but with the aligners in I swear that my smile looks perfect. Just get rid of a few saliva bubbles and a little gloss and and i'd take this smile I have right now for life.

2nd aligner and things are looking great.

Before invisalign I was very self conscious about my teeth. My bite was perfect, everything was in good order I just had small gaps in between all of my top teeth. Just a few milimeters between each one but it was very noticable and because of that I never smiled. Now only a few days into my second ...

Re: poll: what do you drink with your aligners in?

I've got two days left on my first aligner. I've probably drank about a 12 pack of beer so far with them in. No adverse effects whatsoever. I just try to rinse both my mouth and the alligners ever few hours when drinking and then brush them really good when i'm done for the night. I think it would b...

I ended up getting orthoclear instead of invisilign. My dentist said that it is a better choice for my specific case. My bite is perfect and I just have little spaces in between my front teeth. Because of this he only has to move the front eight teeth, leaving the back teeth and my bite exactly as t...

finally pulled the trigger...

today on some sweet new invisaligners. Came home from work, stashed my tips with my savings, counted it all up and realized that I finally hit the $1000 mark that i've been saving for. Immediately I called up the doc, set up financing for the rest and set up an appointment to get it all done. It's a...

my invisalign consultation

So my dentist says that I am the perfect candidate for invisalign. He says it will work extremely well to close up the little gaps in my upper teeth. The best news is that my bite is a nearly perfect class 1. Estimated treatment time is 6-8 months and i'll have to wear a retainer at night after that...

How long does it take?

I am getting an invisalign consultation next week...

How long will it take from the time of my consultation until I receive my aligners and am able to wear them?
