Hi James009, yes canned soups are ok but I liquidfied EVERYTHING. Just add a chicken, vegetable or beef broth to anything and VOILA! I literally had scrambled eggs, turkey with stuffing, chicken parm dinners, steak. If you have a great blender there is no need to get stuck with canned soups. I got s...

Please don't worry, I had my chin plate removed after 6 weeks post-op. I literally looked inside my mouth after pulling my lip forward and I could see metal! I almost fainted-my screws were pushing themselves out! After x-rays he could tell the bone had fused together to its new position and it was ...

Hi Bracesat30, Regarding the pain, I'm almost one year post -op, so sometimes hard to remember. I did not take any pain meds post-op because the liquid form made me gag and I was so afraid to throw up. I eventually was able to squeeze in between my teeth some small round advil pill and sudafed for n...

Hi Quince, I will be 1 year post-op in 2 weeks-and boy what a journey. I reluctantly went back to work at my restaurant after 5 weeks post-op. I was still very swollen and uncomfortable and not eating solid foods yet. Looking back it was all a blur. I am still undergoing physical therapy for stiffne...

hello, i had upper, lower and genio 11 months ago. I had braces prior and a splint after surgery. My splint was pushed in between my two front teeth, under my gum line. I almost freaked out after seeing it a few days after surgery. My surgeon, who knows how skiddish I am, put me under an IV sedative...

I'm almost one year post op and still undergoing physical therapy. I feel like I have a rubber band inside my bottom lip. I also feel that drooling sensation too-I have to feel my face to see if it is wet. I'm sure it gets better-still better than ear and jaw pain and clicking.

Hi Audra, I will be 1 year post-op, upper, lower and genio on July 22nd. I, too had to have one plate removed with hardware on one occasion, in office, and then hardware in the back that had to be removed in the hospital, out-patient. It surely is a pain but one that unfortunately has to be done. I ...

Audra, you are so funny-maybe he watches too much "criminal minds". Whenever I hear that I think of that show. I will tell you-my thoughts from the beginning when you posted this is that the OS slipped. He probablly uses that term at home and it slipped out with you. I own a restaurant and...

I was told I lost alot of blood during surgery but did not require a blood transfusion. I have, however, tested positive for anemia because of blood loss. Not a huge deal, upped my iron intake when I was able to after surgery.

Your results are AMAZING! I can't believe you are only one month post-op. Your surgeon did a great job. A question though-if you didn't know you were getting genio does that mean it was free!-lol. I'd be super pleased with both results and recovery rate-God bless!
