Having now seen the larger pics, I'd definitely forget about it. You have great teeth and a great smile and the slight midline issue is no minor so as to be not noticeable to anyone but yourself. All people notice with teeth is colour and straightness, if they even notice that...

Because you have large healthy looking teeth, you're going to have an absolutely ace smile once the braces have done their thing. Good on you for getting started with it, despite the idiot dentist you had.

It's probably wishful thinking, but I think my two front teeth may have a tiny bit less of a gap, and I'm also wondering if my left canine (on right of photo) has dropped a bit too....

Oh God, the lisp - I can't believe something on my teeth can make me lisp and I'm hating it. Can't wait for my first adjustment either - hopefully things will start to move then.
