Thanks for everyones comments. Very helpful. Maybe I will get it professionally cleaned next time I'm at the ortho or dentist.

I've had my retainers for almost 4 months now and I have notices some white residue or something, mostly on my bottom retainer. Has any one else had this. I brush them everytime I brush my teeth and us Retainer Brite several times a week and it just doesn't come off. Any suggestions?

The glitter is entirely on the inside. No lumps or scratchies.

Mine is dark blue glittered with a red butterfly. I just couldn't go with basic and boring, even though no one else will see it.

Don't chew your chocolate, just let it melt and savor the flavor. You will be surprised how much longer even a little piece of chocolate will last.

My ortho took xray half way through my treatment and my regular dentist did too when I went in for a cleaning.

I thought that was the norm.

What was your estimated treatment time (at the beginning)?

My estimated treatment was 24 months...I went over by only 8 months.

Today is the day. After 2 years and 8 months my braces are finally coming off! My appointment is in 2 1/2 hours. I am SO excited.

I am close to the end. My ortho gave me a debanding date!
March 26th! I am so excited. I will post before and after pictures when I am finally free!

I will be 48, hopefully they will come off in March.

Mine have not been bracketed and I've been at this for over 2 years.

I let the doctor plan my treatment. He is the professional. I know nothing about moving teeth or how long it should take. That's why I pay him.
