Yep, there are many folks who don't get lower bonded retainers and their teeth are fine. If it bothers you a lot, I would suggest discussing it with your ortho. They may remove it and either give you a removable retainer (cost may apply) or let you go on your way without additional appliances or fol...

I have been seeing my ortho every 12 weeks since removal (almost 2 years ago). I've had movement in my uppers and lots of retainer tweeking. My kids saw their ortho (different doc) 2 times each and then were cut off. Every ortho is different and every treatment is different, there doesn't seem to be...

From what I understand from MY ortho about MY bonded retainer...it is there for as long as I can stand it....preferably for ever. I've had it rebonded once (at 1 year) as the bonding material was falty from the start but it was never discussed that it would be removed. Teeth move for our entire life...

I had Damons and self ligating ceramics (Opals) for 22 month (18-24 estimate) In the Washington/Baltimore area. Though I'm 50+ miles from either city. My town is a small to medium city, but my proximity to Washington/Baltimore effects the cost of everything here. My cost was $4710. The original quot...

It looks like your bite is off a little on the left side and my untrained eye also sees a little discrepancy in your midline. The right side looks good and other than that, like Meryaten said, your issues look to be mostly cosmetic. My treatment was for an overjet and crowding and came in at $4700 t...

My daughter's friend had it done and she said it didn't hurt much at all. She had the lazer contouring. The results were beautiful and she was really glad she had it done. The gum line on ONE of her upper centrals was very low. Difficult to describe other than it was hideous and made her smile look ...

She got rebraces for 6 months to pull them back down.

She's noticed some movement back upwards in the recent past but isn't too worried about it getting worse.

Don't let the horror stories scare you! I think they're the exception, not the rule. My son had vaneers put on his two front teeth (damaged by a baseball) and there was no pain AT ALL, they match his tooth color perfectly and they look really nice. They will not last for ever, but he had no choice s...

Your wire differences sound lagit to me. My ortho started matching the upper and lower wires in the second half of my treatment. Basically they're moving your teeth so they can move things back if needed. Any reduction in the upper arch would be by mm's and wouldn't be noticable. Be patient, wear yo...
