Fixed retainer on front of teeth?
I keep on having to get my fixed retainer repaired on the back of my upper teeth. I can feel my lower teeth biting in to it when I clench my teeth. I don’t trust myself with a removable retainer and if it happens again I am considering asking my orthodontist to fix it on my front teeth instead. Has ...

Retainer
I have been wearing my hawley type retainer for the last 2 months. I tried to put my Essix retainers in last night and found that they no longer fit. I also have permanent retainers fixed to the back of my teeth. Should my teeth have moved so much in the last 2 months that the Essix retainers no lon...

Thanks for your replies. Would you mind telling me if the area scanned was close to your braces?

Snoring
Can wearing braces make you snore? During the last few months of my treatment and after my braces were removed my partner has told me that I seem to snore a lot more frequently. Due to problems with TMJ and bruxism my upper teeth are now slightly further forward that my lower teeth

Help
I had the essix type retainers fitted yeterday. They are very thin and made of a quite soft and slightly flexible material. As I suffer from Bruxism I think i will wear them down quite quickly. I asked my ortho if i could have a hard accryllic of hawley type retainer as i think they would last a lot...

RETAINERS
Does anyone know if you can wear fixed and hawley retainers at the same time? I had permanent retainrrs fitted on Tuesday and I am getting the clear essix type retainers next week, but I grind my teeth at night and have read the essix retainers are not really suitable if you have bruxism
Thanks

Although I am really happy with the end result the process of removing the braces was not very pleasant. When the bands were removed it felt as though my teeth were being pulled out, and the removal of the bonding materials from the teeth was the worst part. It is taking some time to get used to the...

BRACES OFF
I get my upper and lower fixed metal braces off in 5 1/2 hours. Woohoo. I am having upper and lower bonded retainers fixed and will also be having the invisalign type removable braces upper and lower. It has been difficult at times but well worth it. I can't wait to reveal my new smile. Thanks for e...

Archwire
Has anybody out there managed to snap their archwire? I have a missing tooth and the archwire did pass through a spring to give it extra thickness. The wire has now snapped and I think I have swallowed the spring!!

I am due to have my braces removed and have bonded retainers fitted upper and lower on my next visit. Do the permanent retainers make you lisp? Will I be able to eat corn on the cob again??
