I have permanent retainers on the top and bottom, but I have an Essix for the top as well. I was told to wear the essix 24/7 for 6 months and then at night. I always wear it at night and sometimes during the day.

My estimated time was 1 year, I got my debanding date at my last appointment, so I will be getting them off after 17 months. I will have gone over my estimated time by about 5 months.

I just got back from my ortho appointment. I had the coil taken out of my bottom arch and had new power chains put on across my top and bottom arches.

I also got the news I have been waiting for, I am getting my braces off on November 3rd! I am so excited!!!!

I think I noticed changes after a month or so. And in my experience my teeth did get worse before they got better.
